Privacy Policy

KoraCoach ("we," "us") provides a personal AI coaching service through our iOS app and web app at app.koracoach.net. Your coaching relationship is built on trust, and this policy explains plainly what we collect, why, and the control you have over it.

Information we collect

• Account information — name, email address, password (stored hashed), and profile details you add.
• Coaching conversations — your chats and voice conversations with your coach, which are the core of the service.
• Audio — only when you enable a listening feature (iPhone mic or a wearable recorder you connect), audio is captured and transcribed so your coach has context. You control these features and can turn them off at any time.
• Health data — only if you connect Apple Health or a wearable (e.g., Oura): activity, sleep, and related metrics you authorize.
• Calendar and email — only if you connect them, to let your coach manage schedules and drafts on your behalf.
• Contacts — only the individual contacts you explicitly choose to share so your coach can call or email them for you. Your full address book is never uploaded.
• Phone number and SMS consent — if you opt in to SMS notifications or use calling features.
• Device and usage data — app version, crash reports, and diagnostics used to keep the service working.

How we use it

We use your information for exactly one purpose: providing and improving your coaching experience. This includes generating coaching responses, remembering your goals and context, placing calls and sending messages you ask for, and sending notifications you have enabled.

We do not sell your personal information. We do not share it with third parties for their marketing purposes.

AI processing

Coaching responses are generated using third-party AI model providers (such as Anthropic, OpenAI, Google, and xAI) under commercial API agreements. Conversation content is sent to these providers to generate responses. Under our API agreements, these providers do not use your data to train their models.

Service providers

We use a small number of processors to operate the service: telephony and SMS carriers (e.g., Telnyx) to place calls and deliver texts, transcription providers to convert audio to text, and Apple for push notifications. Each receives only what is necessary to perform its function.

SMS

If you opt in to SMS notifications, we send coaching notifications, reminders, and account alerts. Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to unsubscribe or HELP for help at any time. No mobile information will be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. Text messaging originator opt-in data and consent are not shared with any third parties, except with our SMS carrier solely to deliver your messages.

Storage and security

Your data is stored on our servers and protected by industry-standard measures: encryption in transit (TLS), authenticated access, and access limited to what the service requires. No system is perfectly secure, but we treat coaching data with the sensitivity it deserves.

Retention and deletion

We retain your data while your account is active so your coach keeps its memory. You can disconnect any data source at any time, remove individual shared contacts, revoke SMS consent, or request full deletion of your account and data by contacting us — we will honor deletion requests within 30 days.

Your choices

• Every data source (mic, wearables, health, calendar, email, contacts) is opt-in and individually disconnectable in Settings.
• SMS can be disabled in Settings → Notifications or by replying STOP.
• You may request a copy or deletion of your data at any time.

Children

KoraCoach is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their information.

Not medical care

KoraCoach is a coaching and productivity tool. It is not a medical device or a provider of medical, mental-health, legal, or financial advice, and your data is not handled under HIPAA.

Changes

If we make material changes to this policy, we will notify you in the app before they take effect.
